How our journey began

Aguas Locas, Los Angeles, Ca was created in 2020 by its Creator and proud father, Pablo Murillo with the help of his wife Loraina Murillo, brother Oskar Casillas, and creative director Morris Ellis. We are a pandemic-born, familia run, and healthy bottled agua fresca company. Recently furloughed dad Pablo started making sugar-free aguas frescas for his 3 year old daughter during quarantine as a way to quench her thirst but also bring them closer to their strong Mexican culture. During the BLM protests in Santa Monica, Pablo called his good friend Morris and had their first meeting in Pablo's garage, 6 ft apart, masks on, scared and unsure of what the future might hold. They decided they wanted to start a health-driven, culture focused brand that could bring sunshine to people during such a dark and trying time. Pablo gave Morris a napkin drawing that Morris completely brought to life, they started creating the branding, created an instagram and on July 6th, 2020 amidst the chaos, Aguas Locas was born.

We started taking pre-orders and the first week they sold out almost instantly. The second week, the same result. For the following months the momentum continued and a cult-like following, our "familia" was created. We kept that momentum building by doing pop us and almost immediately knew what kind of company we wanted to become. We started giving back to organizations that we believed in that dealt with immigration and poverty. We built a brand that was an extension of who we are as humans.

The hype is real, we started partnering with artists and celebrities that would help our brand grow organically such as YG and Rihanna's clothing line Savage Fenty. We were a part of largest NYE celebration on the West Coast w/ Steve Aoki and Fuse TV that was promoted in Times Square. We garnished newspaper and magazine articles like LA Taco, Santa Monica Daily Press, and Voyage LA. We have received a certificate of recognition from the city of Los Angeles. We have partnered with brands like paypal and Kids of Immigrants. We have also recently had the opportunity to tell our story on the Ryan Seacrest morning show. The largest broadcasting morning radio show in Los Angeles. KISS 102-7 for a segment titled "Hometown Hustlers."
